CLIVE, Iowa – For the past three years, residents of Clive could look forward to an array of public art featured along the Greenbelt Trail in Clive. Now, the city is extending a ‘Call for Artists’ for their fourth annual round in 2015.
Sculptures selected by the City of Clive will be featured along the trail from May to October of 2015; applicants can send their materials to Leisure Services Director, Todd Seaman, at tseaman@cityofclive.com.
Application materials include a detailed list of materials used in the sculpture, a statement about the artwork, including date of creation, a detailed explanation of how the piece will be secured or anchored when installed, a list of professional references, a brief artist biography outlining credentials and experience with public art commissions, and six photographs of the piece.
The city says the deadline to submit an application is January 5, 2015, at 5:00 p.m.
