A man accused of setting a Des Moines church on fire will appear in court next month.

Fifty six-year-old James Galbo is charged with first degree arson.  Police say he set fire to the Lighthouse Full Gospel Baptist Church Friday afternoon.

Galbo, who is believed to have lived at the church, is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing September 4th.

Court records indicate two no-contact orders have been filed against Galbo, and he is prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Galbo remains in jail on $25,000 bond.
