Arrest Made Following Morning Bank Robbery in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa - One person has been arrested following a bank robbery in Des Moines Monday.

Police responded to Bankers Trust, located at 655 East Army Post Road, shortly before 11 a.m.

Investigators tell Channel 13 News that a tracking device was used to track the suspect to a nearby Walmart. The suspect, identified as Joe Mitchell Pendergrass, was taken into custody outside the store.

Pendergrass is charged with second-degree robbery.
