Des Moines police say a woman was robbed at gun point Monday night and the suspect took off with her wedding ring.

It happened just before 9:00 p.m. in the 400 block of East McKinley Avenue.

Police say a 27-year-old was unlocking her door when a man approached her from behind, pointed a gun at her, and demanded money. She told the man she didn’t have any money.

Instead the man took off with her ring, two earrings, and a necklace with two charms that said “Big Sis” and “I Love Mom.”

No arrests have been made in the case.
