IOWA  --  Governor Branstad will have the choice of whether to allow police officers to pull over Iowans they suspect of texting and driving.

Both the Iowa House and Senate passed a bill that would give them the right to make stops and issue a $30 ticket.

The current law only allows a ticket to be written when drivers are stopped for another offense.
