A dinner will take place this weekend for volunteers who helped search for two missing cousins in Evansdale.

The dinner is being held on the one year anniversary of the kidnapping of Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins.

The two went missing while riding their bikes around Meyers Lake in Evansdale.  Their bodies were discovered five months later in Bremer County.

Police are yet to make an arrest in the case.

The dinner will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Lofty’s Lounge in Evansdale.

Organizers say it’s a way to give back to the community for their efforts to find the two girls.
