AMES ROBBERY: Photo Of Suspect Released

Ames police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store late Sunday night.

Police say it happened at the Swift Stop at 125 6th Street around 11:54 p.m. A white male entered the store and demanded money but the clerk refused. The suspect pulled out a knife and physically restrained the clerk. The suspect then fled the store without getting any cash.

swift stop 6th robberyPolice have released a photo of the suspect. They say he was wearing a dark colored ski mask, red hooded Iowa State sweatshirt, grey windpants, and mismatched gloves. He left the scene on foot, headed northwest.
