According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, Iowa’s corn crop is 97% in the ground, and 90% has emerged. But corn planting progress in Iowa is still behind last year’s progress for this time.On soybeans, 78% of the Iowa crop has been planted, about four days behind the five-year average. Just over half of beans have emerged.

There were only 2.3 days suitable for fieldwork in the last week.
