A new nationwide poll says farmers and ranchers are significantly favoring Republican Donald Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the race for president.

In the Agri-Pulse Farm and Ranch Poll, 55 percent of respondents say they will vote for Donald Trump.  Only 18 percent say they’ll cast a ballot for Hillary Clinton.

Third party candidates are barely polling: 2 percent support Libertarian Gary Johnson and one percent is behind Green Party Jill Stein.

Trump attracted 59 percent of male farmer voters and 37 percent of females. Clinton had the support of 15 percent of males and 33 percent of females.

In the battleground states: Ohio has Trump at 68 percent among farmers and Florida has Trump at 58 percent.

The poll says 15 percent of farmers and ranchers are undecided and eight percent refused to answer.
