U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman says the final agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will not be made at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit this month in Beijing.

President Obama is planning to attend APEC and is expected to negotiate a trade deal with other leaders during the trip.

Japan is still not changing its stance on protection measures for what it calls “sensitive measures,” which include cars and agriculture markets. Discussions continue between the U.S. and Japan to resolve differences.
