Last week’s rain was a welcome relief for the corn and soybean crop, but State climatologist Harry Hillaker says it probably won’t stick around.
Friday night and Saturday have an unclear possibility of rainfall, with the rest of this week looking dry and warmer than usual for this time of year.
‘Well it looks like on the short term we’re going to be dry again.”
Still, Hillaker says last week’s rain was significant.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve seen that much rain, over that wide of an area.”
Hillaker adds that rainfall totals for this month are still about an inch below average.
