DES MOINES, Iowa — Thousands of people will converge on downtown Des Moines this weekend for the 80/35 Music Festival.
Nearly 50 acts are expected to perform at the festival at Western Gateway Park. Hip hop icon Nas and folk band The Decemberists get top billing.
Portions of Locust Street, Grand Avenue, and several side streets are closing at 6 p.m. Thursday so set-up for the event can be completed.
Everything will be reopened in time for the Monday morning commute.
