There’s a spot in town where special days come every day…but even still, this was something else…

These are the Richters of Atlantic, and these are the Seehusens from Pomeroy.  This is Gage, and this is Owen.

Hello, Owen.  For you and Gage, the day went something like this…are you with me?

When the hand reached the twelve, it was twelve…after twelve…on the twelfth…of the twelfth…in twenty-twelve.  And you were born.  Your parents had other things on their minds.

“We didn’t really think about that," says mother, Holly Seehusen. "We didn’t see it coming,” chimes in Mike, the father.

“I was scheduled for 11am this morning," says Candice Richter, "but with how behind they were, it just ended up happening that way.”

If you’re a parent, you understand—this is a day that doesn’t need a catch phrase.  But the rest of us eat that stuff up.

“Yeah, there was a big clock in the delivery room," Holly says, "and everyone was glancing over at it and somebody said ‘Oh, it’s exactly 12:12!' and everybody else said, ‘Really?’”

Owen’s twin sister, Elyse was born four minutes later, so she’ll have it, too…a birthday that stands out…even to Mom and Dad…and even in a place like this.
